What is your turnaround time?

Why is my charge listed as "pending" or "awaiting payment"?

Where are your products made?

All Colonial Mills braided rugs and accessories are proudly made in the USA at our factory in  Rumford, Rhode Island.  Our former production facility and factory outlet store were located just over the town border in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the birthplace of America’s textile industry.

Can braided rugs be used outdoors for decks and patios?

Braided rugs that are made using polypropylene or Sunbrella acrylic yarn are a great choice for outdoor use as they can better withstand weather conditions and are more durable with heavy exposure to sun and also damp locations. These materials are highly stain and fade resistant as well as mold and mildew resistant, making them some of the most desirable braided rug types for general outdoor use.

How do I clean my braided area rug?

To retain the beauty and durability of your braided rug, you can regularly vacuum with a hard surface attachment. Do not use the beater brush.  Periodic professional dry cleaning is also recommended. Please visit our braided rug care section for more information.

Are Colonial Mills braided rugs flame resistant?

The materials used to manufacture Colonial Mills braided rugs all undergo a fire resistance test by a certified vendor, prior to being used for any braided products. The flammability testing ensures that our braided products don’t pose a risk of catching fire.

Are Colonial Mills braided rugs and accessories pet friendly?

Yes, our braided products are pet friendly. Being reversible and stain resistant also helps with preserving the quality of the rug.

Do I need a pad with my braided rug?

Floor padding is strongly recommended to prevent yarn color dye transfer and provide comfort, safety and durability. Learn more about our Eco-StayTM floor pads.

What is a stair tread?

A stair tread is a horizontal covering for a set of stairs in order to improve traction. These could be made from a variety of materials, such as wood, carpeting, or rubber. Colonial Mills braided stair treads are constructed with the same quality and process that you would find with any of our other products using high-quality polypropylene, wool and chenille yarns. Along with providing safety and traction, they also add texture and style to the stairs. A stair tread installation kit is available for purchase to easily install braided stair treads to the steps.
